The 1/10 scale Axial® SMT10 4WD radio control monster truck platform offers an unstoppable combination of durability, adjustability, and scale realism. For fans of full-size monster truck action, the Axial SMT10 is available ready-to-run (RTR) with a detailed Grave Digger® body licensed from Feld Motorsports. There’s also a Raw Builders Kit that you can complete with your own body choice to drive an RC monster truck with any look you prefer.

Axial® designers went all out when creating the chassis and roll cage for the 1/10 scale SMT10™ 4WD RC monster truck platform. Very similar to full-size Monster Jam® trucks, the SMT10 tube frame chassis was developed for maximum strength and has an extremely realistic appearance. The chassis offers many pivot points for suspension tuning. Scale realism and strength are achieved through triangulation of the chassis tubes, making it ready for maximum attack and hard core remote control monster truck bashing.
The AR60 OCP-Axle™ is constructed from high strength composite material which has a low flex rate but is not as brittle as standard glass filled nylon. Mated to the proven AR60 axle, the true 4-link suspension soaks up any obstacles in its path. The axle and suspension combination gives RC monster truck drivers optimal performance on any terrain with the look of a real 1:1 vehicle. Axial also includes a variety of shock mounting points for additional suspension tuning options. There are mounting points on the cage and at the axle for moving your shocks to a more scale, vertical position if desired.
The Axial SMT10 platform’s WB8 HD driveshafts feature an updated design with a larger diameter cross pin (2x11mm) for extra strength. Material added on the center splined slider reduces flex and fatigue. The rear sway bar helps to keep torque twist and body lean to a minimum during acceleration. The chassis design allows you to add an optional RC sway bar to the front if desired.
Providing more RC monster truck strength is the AX10 transmission with all-metal internal gears. An updated, heavy-duty slipper design uses a pad on each side of the spur gear for added surface area, delivering more precise tuning and holding power.
The battery tray is easy to access from the rear of the vehicle. To install your battery, simply remove one pin, swing out the tray door and slide in the battery pack. Four screws adjust the height of the tray, allowing room for most standard 2S RC batteries. The waterproof receiver box uses three different silicone seals, one for the antenna, one for the servo wires (includes three slots for three channels), and one that acts as a gasket for the receiver box cover. You can run without worry in mud, water, or snow!
For fans of the classic Grave Digger® 1950s-style panel van that has thrilled fans of full-scale Monster Jam® action for many years, Axial offers a true-to-scale, ready-to-run (RTR) RC monster truck version on the SMT10 platform. Licensed from Feld Motorsports, it comes factory-built and equipped with a high-torque Dynamite® 550-size motor matched with a LiPo- and NiMH-compatible Dynamite® 60A ESC that features forward/brake/reverse, forward/brake and crawler drive modes.
A Raw Builder’s Kit version of the SMT10 platform is also available for outfitting with your own choice of electronics, radio gear, body, and tires. Enjoy the durability and performance advantages of the Axial SMT10 with the scale looks of whatever monster truck you prefer!
