#MyAxialAdventure - Real Jeep vs. RC
When Axial Adventure wanted to create a video debuting the SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7, an ordinary location just wouldn’t do, so the Axial team headed to Hurricane, Utah – a virtual Jeep paradise. Axial product developer Randall Davis and his crew took to the trails with the 1/10-scale rock crawler. It was mission accomplished as the terrain made for the perfect location to showcase the Axial version of the classic Jeep CJ-7. The day went from awesome to epic when a full-size CJ-7 entered the mix. See if the RC Jeep can hang with the real deal.

#MyAxialAdventure - MOAB
In mid-April of 2022, our five-man crew set out for Moab, Utah for our own Axial Adventure. Utah is truly beautiful, but when we arrived at our campground the temperature was around 35°F with 25-30mph winds with a forecast that it could snow! Let me tell you, putting those tents up was an ordeal! Next morning, after some coffee, we jumped into Randall’s 1/1 Jeep and made our way up to the Top Of The World trail. After spotting some potential spots we had a good idea of where we’d like to take the RC’s later for a night crawl.
After a great crawl, and a decent night’s sleep, we had more ambitious plans for Day 3. We started out at the end of a washout and continued from there. Some truly incredible scenery and amazing rock formations led us to be out for three hours having fun, doing some pictures and this film. We had an amazing time; we hope you enjoy our Adventure – be sure to get out there yourself and share using the #myAxialAdventure hashtag.
#MyAxialAdventure - WALES
My Axial Adventures are usually spent with friends or my son. This film shows the time we recently spent together in Wales, in particular Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia. I used to come here when I was younger and loved climbing, hiking and just hanging out. So that's what we did – with a little wild camping, cooking and RC's thrown in for good measure. With no real phone network it really was an adventure with no distractions. Father and son time that I cherished and he thoroughly enjoyed - where will your adventure be?
Axial® SCX10™ III Base Camp™ 4WD Crawler RTR
AXI03006 Axial® SCX10™ III Jeep® Gladiator JT 4WD RTR
Out of the box, the SCX10™ III Jeep® Gladiator JT transmission offers a third-channel DIG function that lets you lock the rear axle from the transmitter for front wheel drive and a tighter turning radius. Though locked out from the factory, you can set up the vehicle to have a 40% faster second gear instead of DIG - or, by adding another micro servo and using a radio with at least four channels (such as the 5-channel Spektrum DX5), have simultaneous access to both the DIG and two-speed functions.
The SCX10™ III Jeep® Gladiator JT uses new AR45™ portal axles to improve performance by increasing the ground clearance and reducing torque twist. The motor is located at the front of the chassis for forward weight. The standard battery tray is positioned near the vehicle's center for improved balance and accepts full-size LiPo or NiMH packs. There are also locations in the side pods for drivers who prefer smaller “shorty” LiPo packs. Inner fenders and floor sides hide internal components that would usually be visible from the side of the chassis.
Topping off the chassis is a scale Jeep® Gladiator JT body that mirrors its full-size counterpart with many highly authentic details. The body has over 20 injection-molded parts including a bed rack, door handles, mirrors, hood vents and more - taking polycarbonate body realism to the next level. The body has been split into three pieces for a more realistic deep bed. Officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler tires on 3-piece beadlock wheels add more scale realism and more grip on dirt, rocks, and all other off-road trails.
With the Spektrum™ DX3™ radio, you'll enjoy the superior range, response, and interference resistance of DSMR® technology. Together with the installed Firma™ Smart 40A ESC/receiver, it also offers the advantages of exclusive Spektrum™ Smart technology. Install a Spektrum Smart LiPo battery and you can view vehicle battery capacity at a glance on the DX3 transmitter's voltage level indicator. Outfit the DX3 with the optional BT2000 Bluetooth module and download the free Spektrum Dashboard™ app to your smart device, and you're also ready to use Smart real-time telemetry - without needing on-board sensors or modules.
Axial AXI03003 SCX10™ III Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon JLU RTR
Out of the box, the SCX10™ III Jeep® JLU Wrangler transmission features a third-channel DIG function that lets you lock the rear axle from the transmitter for front wheel drive and a tighter turning radius. As an alternative, you can set up the vehicle with a two-speed transmission instead and select between high and low speeds. If you'd like to use both the two-speed transmission and DIG function, just add another servo and a radio with at least four channels (such as the 5-channel Spektrum™ DX5).
The SCX10™ III Jeep® JLU Wrangler uses portal axles to improve performance by increasing the ground clearance and reducing torque twist. Its standard battery tray accepts full-size “standard” LiPo or NiMH packs. There's space on the side rails as well for drivers who prefer smaller packs. Inner fenders and floor sides hide internal components that would usually be visible from the side of the chassis.
The chassis is topped off with a 2020 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited four-door body that includes a roll cage, front hood vents and cowl, windshield wipers, mirrors, door handles and other molded-in details, plus a detailed interior and LED lighting. New taller and wider, officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler tires on 3-piece beadlock wheels add more scale realism and more grip on dirt, rocks, and all other off-road trails.
Axial AXI03014T1/T2 SCX10 III Early Ford Bronco RTR
When developing the officially licensed SCX10™ III Ford Bronco 4WD, Axial® engineers pushed the boundaries on ready-to-run scale crawler features, functions, and performance. It includes the key components that have made the SCX10™ III platform a success, and adds features never before found in an Axial® RTR - or any other RC vehicle. Hands down, this is one of the most detailed models Axial® has ever produced, and it's a perfect choice for brand new scalers, experienced rock crawling enthusiasts, and everyone in-between.
Inside and out, the scale realism is unprecedented - sure to impress the most devoted Ford fans. The polycarbonate Bronco body has a molded tube cage with functional tube doors and hidden body mounts to preserve the scale lines. Fender flares and rock sliders that are true to the era also provide essential rock rash protection. Other authentic exterior details include the hood scoop, license plates, windshield wipers, and LED headlights and taillights. Many scale features are also functional. The front and rear plate bumpers, for example, are placed at the optimal approach angle for unobstructed climbing and crawling.
Interior detail is equally impressive. Inside the cab you'll find molded seats, dashboard, shifter, foot pedals, and a steering wheel with column. Under the hood, a replica 5.0L V8 engine, transmission housing, and transfer case conceal the powerful Axial® 35T motor for added protection and scale appearance.
The realism continues right to the ground. Retro-style 3-piece beadlock wheels complement the Ford Bronco's scale body while allowing tires to be mounted, removed, and replaced easily without gluing. Licensed 1.9 replica Falken Wildpeak M/T tires provide a solid grip for getting over rocks and trails. The roll cage has mounting tabs for additional lights and a full function spare tire.
Underneath it all, the proven SCX10™ III chassis delivers the superior crawling performance Axial® drivers have come to expect. For a lower center of gravity in addition to true scale looks, the Ford Bronco uses AR45 Straight Axles in the front and rear. The triangulated suspension geometry is tuned to work with the axles to reduce torque twist and further increase the scale looks. Tunable oil-filled shocks help drivers find the best dampening rate and offer increased bore size with more fluid volume for the best performance.
Out of the box, the transmission is set up with a third-channel Front Dig function that lets you lock the rear axle from the transmitter for a tighter turning radius. Or you can configure it for two speeds with high and low gears by moving the included Micro Dig Servo to the two-speed linkage. To use both the two-speed transmission and Front Dig features, just add another servo and a radio with at least four channels (such as the 5-channel Spektrum™ DX5).
The fully assembled RTR vehicle comes with a Spektrum™ DX3™ radio featuring exclusive DSMR® technology for superior range, response, and interference resistance. It's also compatible with the Smart telemetry potential provided by the installed Spektrum Firma™ Smart 40A ESC/receiver. Using a Spektrum Smart LiPo pack, you can follow on-board battery capacity on the transmitter's voltage level indicator while driving with confidence in any weather and trail conditions - the electronics are protected by a waterproof design.
With its unstoppable Axial® engineering and iconic Ford styling, the SCX10™ III Ford Bronco 4WD RTR crawler is made for adventuring in the mountains and rugged terrain. Just add your choice of suitable battery and go!

True, 4-wheel drive locked differentials are included for dependable traction. The offset pumpkin of the AR60 OCP-Axle™ increases ground clearance and provides a better driveshaft angle. Thanks to the forward-mounted, easy access battery tray, you can access the adjustable battery compartment simply by removing two body clips to release the front hood. The compartment offers plenty of room to secure 2S or 3S LiPo batteries.
The updated RR10™ Bomber RTR package's new Spektrum™ DX3™ radio uses exclusive DSMR® technology for superior range, response, and interference resistance.
