SCX24

Because the proven SCX24™ platform is easy to drive, fully assembled, and ready-to-run, it’s an ideal first radio control rig for beginner hobbyists interested in RC rock crawling. But even the most dedicated RC crawling fan will be proud to have it in their lineup. Serious scale modelers will appreciate that the SCX24 is available with a variety of scale bodies, so it not only performs well but looks great, too.

The mini RC 1/24 scale SCX24 4WD platform makes any spot the perfect setting for RC adventures. If you’re stuck at work, go crawling on your desk. A messy room becomes an ideal obstacle course. Test your skills on an indoor crawl course table or take your SCX24 vehicle outdoors, where its water-resistant electronics are safe from the elements. You can set up an exciting trail in minutes with a few holes, twigs, and rocks.

Whatever course you follow, the SCX24 mini RC truck platform meets every challenge with full-time 4-wheel drive, a trail-taming 3-link front/4-link rear suspension, and much more. For optimal handling, the SCX24 suspension features a three-link front and four-link rear setup. The realistic steel frame rails stand up to hard knocks. And even at this small scale, the combination of coilover shocks with simulated reservoirs and durable plastic suspension links delivers the crawling performance you expect from Axial.

For the SCX24 Jeep® JT Gladiator mini RC truck, the wheelbase has been lengthened by 22mm to provide a whole new set of abilities — increasing stability and enabling the vehicle to muscle more easily over big challenges. Steel front and rear axles, front stub axles, and steel dogbones let you crawl and climb with confidence. The front and rear differentials each house a worm screw and worm gear setup to get the power to the axles and create higher ground clearance.

The front and rear drive shafts are splined and sleeved to allow for maximum suspension travel while keeping the power to the wheels. Just because the SCX24 is smaller than other Axial rigs doesn’t mean the quality of features follows suit. There are no bushings here. Instead, the drivetrain spins freely on sealed cartridge bearings throughout the entire vehicle.

A hinged body system is available on some SCX24 platform vehicles that offers especially easy access to on-board components. You can quickly reach the battery and chassis by simply removing two body clips and swinging the body up.

Ready-to-run (RTR) Axial SCX24 platform vehicles include everything you need to get going. They’re fully assembled and include transmitter batteries, a 2S LiPo battery pack, and USB charger. Power is supplied by a Dynamite® 88T motor. An Axial 2-channel radio system delivers precise, dependable control. Factory-installed just above the front axle, the Axial AS-1 steering servo includes a servo saver that improves steering accuracy and protects the servo gears in the event of a bind or impact. The Axial SCX24 lets anyone experience driving adventure with “no work, all play” ready-to-run ease.
