UTB10
The Axial® Capra™ 1.9 Unlimited Trail RC Buggy platform gives radio control crawling enthusiasts a realistic and effective way to maneuver on the rocks. In full-scale crawling competition, subtle maneuvering is a must to avoid losing points from reversing or hitting a marker on the course. With the UBT10 Capra platform, RC drivers have it available and experience more true rock crawling realism!
Steer axles in both front and rear of the UBT10 Capra platform give remote control rig drivers the enhanced maneuverability of 4-wheel steering. Using the third channel button of the Spektrum™ DX3™ transmitter supplied with the ready-to-run (RTR) versions, you can steer the rear axle from 0 (straight) to 50% or 100%, left and right, to position the tires perfectly for conquering obstacles. Both axles feature metal universals that produce smooth action for an efficient and durable drivetrain in this RC buggy platform.
The 1/10 scale RC rig’s transmission features an optional Dig setup that’s disabled from the factory (and requires upgrading to a 4-channel radio and micro servo for use). To have Dig and rear steering capabilities, remove the spacer from inside the transmission and install your micro servo. With the flick of a transmitter button, you can now activate Dig and lock the rear drive axle. That allows you to pull the UBT10 Capra around by the front end while holding the rear in place.
The tube chassis of the UBT10 Capra platform offers realistic scale rock crawler buggy looks and is optimized for suspension and tire clearance. Currie F9 Portal Axles add substantially more ground clearance at the diff pumpkin while also providing an excellent 7.39:1 gear ratio. All links and suspension pivots are made of rust-proof stainless steel and provide precise, durable suspension points. The bodies of the oil-filled shocks are made of hard-anodized aluminum for a smooth, long-lasting finish. Adjust the dampening to your optimal suspension settings by increasing or decreasing the spring pre-load simply by rotating the threaded shock collars.
The UBT10 Capra platform includes large, licensed Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires that increase ground clearance while offering a wider tire patch for more traction wherever you crawl — on a trail, a comp course, or backyard crawl course. The tires are mounted on licensed Raceline injection-molded wheels with a 3-piece beadlock design for easy tire removal and replacement without gluing.
Realistic scale details include a polycarbonate interior tray with molded driver figures, full color pre-cut decals with simulated carbon fiber panels, mock GPS navigation gauges and switches, two black styrene helmets with visor decals, and more. An LED light bar and two front mounted LED lights are also included. For easy access to the battery tray, just remove the clips hidden on the underside of the tube frame and raise the hood up. The tray size is built for shorty packs, at a maximum size of 26mm x 98mm x 47mm.
