Q: How many Degrees of articulation does it have?
A: I don't know, but i can lift one tire 54" off the ground before another comes off.
Q: What is the tire size?
A: 47" Super Swamper LTB's
Q: How much suspension travel?
A: 16" shafts
Q: Is it comp ready?
A: No, not this one, but its trail ready for 5 days.
Q: When are you most confident in your driving skills?
A:When I'm driving!
Q: Has it ever been rolled?
A: Yes, 2 times, they were both minor though. i have rolled 67 times in my life.
Q: What is the hardest trail you have done in the rig?
A: Punisher Kanyon (upper Bronco) in Reno, NV
Q: What is your favorite drink?
A: Come' on, Jack Daniels!
Q: Do you actually wheel this or is it just a trophy buggy?
A: Do i have to even go there. It's clean because I can drive!
Q: How long have you been off roading?
A:I've been riding dirt bikes since I was 8. 4-wheeling for me started when I was 15 years old, and I have 8 years of professional experience.
Q: What is your favorite offroad trail?
A: The Rubicon, its not to hard, but it's beautiful.
Q: Do you think RC rock crawling is similar to 1:1 crawling? If so, how?
A: Yes, you have to have the rig set up correctly and you have to be able to see the line.
Q: Have you learned any driving tricks from the RC rock crawlers that you have translated to the 1:1 crawlers?
A: Oh yeah, front dig climbs are a big one.
Q: Most aren't ever done with their build, so do you have any planned mods in the future?
A: Yes, i am going to 300m steel shafts in the buggy soon and racing bucket seats. Nothing major, i love it.
Q: What was the most critical criteria that you had to consider when building this crawler?
A: What you want to do with it, weight, tire size and wheelbase. You have to have a plan going in or when you get half-way into the build nothing fits and it gets really expensive fast.
Q: You fabricated this rig yourself, so can you tell us something about your background on how you're able to fabricate such an impressive rig?
A: Practice makes perfect. I started reading 4wd magazines and decided to try things i saw. I have been doing this for years now. This is actually the first buggy i ever built back in 2002 and to this day its still my favorite.
Q: What was the most challenging aspect of this build?
A: The visualization process and then bending the first tube is a hard decision. Other than that i would say the flooring and firewall gave me the most headache.
Q: Did this build turn out the way you wanted it? If no, than what would have liked to have changed?
A: Yes, I have grown a taste for horsepower, so 500+ hp would be cool.
